Swami Vivekananda Road (shortened to SV Road) is a station in the east-west line of the Namma Metro in Bangalore, India. [1]
The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRC) plans to develop an area of 1.4 acre near SV Road metro station.[2] A shopping complex, hospital or a utility building may be developed. The BMRC aims to subsidize the cost of train fares by integrating other modes of transport from SV Road station. 50 crore is budgeted for the project development which will be called Namma Metro Towers. The development will be under the design, finance, build, operate and transfer mode under PPP mode.
BMRCL plans to incorporate parking spaces at the Swami Vivekananda Road station. The corporation had come under a lot of criticism by commuters for not providing ample parking space. BMRCL has called for tenders from agencies to operate and develop parking lots at the station that cover an area of about 2,500 square metres. [3]Parking agencies can operate for one year, depending on the construction work.
